Advent is the annual reminder that we inhabit a faith of mystery and paradox. We are home, yet not at home; the Kingdom is here and yet still to come; the resurrection has happened and will happen; death is defeated, yet still persists. This December we will journey with Matthew’s genealogy from chapter 1. Pulling out 4 biblical figures, we hope to gain insight into how they prepared the way for the Messiah to come. These ancient connections will help us make connections in our time as to how we prepare the way for the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ, Lord of all the cosmos.
