Walk For Water

Around the world, at least 2 billion people are drinking water contaminated with feces. That's not okay. And we're going to do something about it.

Some estimates suggest that around the world, women and girls walk collectively 200 million hours each day to fetch unimproved, unprotected water, which has a high likelihood of spreading waterborne illness. This is not okay.

Join us for 20 Liters annual Walk for Water. Along with food trucks and activities for all ages, we will learn more about the challenge of dirty water, walk with our friends and families, and learn simple, effective, and long lasting ways to make dirty water clean.

Although not required, anyone who registers will receive a free t-shirt for participating.

  • Sunday, May 17
  • 12:30-3pm
  • Johnson Park [2600 Wilson Ave SW]
  • Distance we're walking: 0.6 miles but 90% of it is carrying water
  • Complimentary food trucks
  • Cost: free to register, and everyone who registers gets a t-shirt
