Throughout the year, our Community Life Team hosts a variety events to help our community learn how to best live into our community and the way of Jesus. Wondering where to begin? Here are a few great places to learn more.

Wednesday Night Suppers

When the weather outside is frightful, come find food + company that are delightful. During the cold winter months, let’s gather for an old-school potluck each month. We’ll provide the drinks and cozy setting—you provide a dish to pass.

Meet Ups

Throughout the year, our Community Life ministry hosts a variety of events for you to gather and connect with others outside of our building. Bring your family and friends, make a few new friends, and let’s enjoy spending time together as a community.

Men’s Collective

If the way of Jesus is about becoming like Him, let’s take the time to lean into the Spirit together to develop virtue and fashion our character into the image of Jesus, for the sake of the world. This Feb-May, you’re invited to join AJ Sherrill + Ross V. for the Mars Hill Men’s Collective.

Learning Labs

Over the next year, we’re inviting you to explore the nuances of peacemaking, refugee crisis, local justice, poverty, racial reconciliation, care for the vulnerable, and more with a posture of curiosity. Through a series of Learning Labs, or thoughtful sessions on the topics of our day, we’ll engage divisive issues from the standpoint of humility—in an attempt to learn from one another and grow towards unity over discord.

Exploring Leadership

What would it look like for our leaders to begin a rhythm of connecting with and learning from each other? In Spring 2018, AJ and our entire pastoral team will hold our second Exploring Leadership event to find out. If you are a current leader at Mars Hill or interested in exploring a leadership role in our community—come—and let’s calibrate our hearts and dream together about how we can lead our community well in this next chapter of our church.

Contemplative Healing Service

As we press into our Forward direction in cultivating a Resurrection Culture at Mars Hill, we want to create a contemplative evening experience where we can rest into holistic healing—mind, emotions, and body. Eric Marshall from the music project, Young Oceans, will be leading with us as we seek God’s Presence. Bring your family and friends and join us from 6-7:15pm in the Shed on Sunday, April 29.

Get Connected Event

What’s your next step? Perhaps you’re interested in growing personally or relationally, but aren’t sure what opportunity or group facilitator would be a good fit for you. Maybe you have questions about our Kids + Students opportunities. Or, maybe you’re ready to jump in! Come talk to staff and volunteer leaders before and after the Gatherings to get info, find help discerning a good fit, and get signed up.

Join us this coming fall for another great ministry fair.

Mars Hill Connect

If you’re desiring a more personal connection with Mars Hill pastors and elders, wondered about Mars Hill’s vision, approach and theology, or need some direction as to what opportunities may be right for you—this gathering is for you.
