Backpacks, Buddies + Bright Futures

Kids are the heartbeat of what makes Mars Hill special. As they head back to school, we want them to know that we are cheering them on and believing in their bright future. 

To accomplish that, we are partnering with Affinity Mentoring.

If you don't know this organization, you should! They match students in K-8th grade with a caring adult role model to journey alongside them one hour a week [current school partners include Burton Elementary, Burton Middle School, Southwest Elementary – Academia Bilingüe, and Godfrey-Lee Early Childhood Center and Elementary].

Sign Up To Mentor A Child

Do you have one free hour a week? That hour could help change a child's life, promoting healthy development and growth and fostering a life-long connection. Every youth needs 5-7 safe adults to talk to and trust. Are you ready to step up and be that person for a child?

Donate A Game Or Craft For A Mentoring Site

Help us stock their mentor centers for this fall by purchasing new or donating gently used items. CLICK HERE for a list of ideas. Please bring these items to either Mars Hill location by September 8.

Your monthly gift will not only help students academically, but it’ll also give them the social and emotional support they need to work towards a positive future.
