Walk for Water Wherever

For years, Mars Hill has been involved in a local Walk for Water, which raises money to provide slow-sand filters and rainwater harvest systems for those without access to clean water in Rwanda, and allows those in our area to experience what many in the world are forced to do every day—walk for their water.

If you're not in the West Michigan area, we'd like to help you host a Walk for Water wherever you are. Simply download an instruction sheet and a sample flyer to learn more. With easy, online registration, creating a walk for your work or church group, family, or friends can be a cinch.

"When I first heard of the water issue I was mad but also sad. I said, 'It's not fair!... People around the world walk about 2.5 miles about four times a day no matter if they want to or not.'"

-Greta, who began the Walk for Water with her family when she was 7 years old.
