VOLUNTEER
Adult Classroom Team [Special Needs] VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Our Special Needs ministry provides support and creates opportunities that allow adults with special needs to be full participants in the life of Mars Hill. This classroom meets during the 11am Gathering, when class members and volunteers join others from our community in the Shed for singing and spend the rest of the Gathering in their own room, learning, sharing, and interacting together.

Mars Hill KidsDetails
Volunteers on our Adult Classroom Team serve the adult participants in Mars Hill Special Needs by building relationships that include interaction during lessons, time spent together in prayer and worship, and attending to the student’s individual needs. Volunteers serve weekly or bi-weekly as part of a team during our 11am Gatherings. Those serving in these roles must participate in 2-4 trainings per year, and a pre-serving interview is also required.Qualifications/Skills
Special Needs volunteers must demonstrate patience, compassion, and flexibility. While knowledge and/or experience in areas of Special Needs is helpful, it is not required.
