It is truly unfortunate to lose such a wonderful teacher. He has a way of opening the heart and mind to new possibilites, new ways of understanding the bible. Looking forward to having him back as a guest teacher.
You guys just did what??? I just tuned in a moment ago to hear Shane after Greg Boyd and skipping Kent as usual…and you are dumping SHANE…! Oh my, that is a shame. Seriously, maybe internal politics is such but from a teaching perspective Shane is head and shoulders above Kent, at least from my humble perspective. Sorry Shane to see you get tossed out with the dirty laundry…I don’t think I can listen to what you say in this download because your kindness will be far far greater than anything I could muster. So long Shane and good bye Mars Hills! laurence
Laurence, Shane is choosing to leave. Mars Hill asked him to take the role of teaching pastor after rob left and he declined.
Shane, I am so glad you will still be here at MH with us, and I am thankful for that. I, many of us for that matter, will miss your teaching, but I am confident I will grow to love Kent more and more as times goes on.
Know that you have on many ocassions brought me to a better understanding of how I need to relate to God.
I’m so saddened to see Shane leave. Mars Hill, you should have kept him on part-time as he was originally hired for. Poor form on your part. Shane made me think. He challenged our west michigan mindset. He told the gospel and spread Jesus love. I will miss you so much, Shane. I cannot wait to see what God has in store for you – and ofcourse to read the upcoming book. Kent, welcome to the tribe!

So sad that I missed that Sunday at Mars. I would have loved cheering Shane. I will miss your teachings so much! Blessings on the new book and whatever else God has planned for you and your family.
I just bought “knowing is the flame” and other teachings. I only received about 5 minutes and then get cut off. Afraid to buy other lessons. Do you know why this is happening?
